How we implement GDPR compliance

GDPR applies to any organization that handles personal data of people in the EU, wherever the organization is based. We help you meet those obligations in a way that fits how your business runs.

We map what personal data you hold and why, close the gaps against GDPR requirements, and put the policies, processes and technical controls in place. Where other privacy laws such as CCPA also apply, we build one program that covers them together.

What you get

What the engagement leaves you with.

  • Customers and partners can see that their data is handled responsibly.

  • Collecting and keeping only necessary data reduces security risk and simplifies compliance.

  • Building privacy controls in from the start costs less than fixing them later.

  • Clear documentation of your data practices makes dealing with customers, partners and regulators easier.

Frequently asked questions

Do non-EU companies need to comply with GDPR?

Yes. If your organization offers goods or services to people in the EU or monitors their behavior, GDPR applies regardless of where you are based, even without a physical EU presence.

How does GDPR relate to other privacy regulations like CCPA?

GDPR is generally broader than laws like the CCPA (California), but they overlap significantly. We build unified privacy programs that cover several regulations at once and avoid duplicate work.

What are the penalties for GDPR non-compliance?

GDPR violations can result in fines of up to €20 million or 4% of annual global turnover, whichever is higher. Non-compliance can also lead to reputational damage, litigation and enforcement actions that disrupt operations.

Do we need a Data Protection Officer (DPO)?

GDPR requires a DPO if you: (1) are a public authority, (2) carry out regular and systematic monitoring of individuals on a large scale, or (3) process special categories of data on a large scale. Where it is not mandatory, a DPO can still be a useful way to show accountability.
