Cloud cost savings calculator

Enter your monthly cloud spend and a rough split. The estimate applies three common measures in sequence so the same euro is never counted twice.

Your figures

From 500 to 5,000,000 EUR / month
Virtual machines, containers, managed databases. Often half or more of the bill. From 0 to 100 %
Forgotten environments, unattached disks, old snapshots. A guess is fine. From 0 to 60 %
Reserved instances or savings plans. Only commit what runs all year. From 0 to 100 %

From idle cleanup
€1,400
From rightsizing
€1,590
From commitments
€1,126

How we calculate

  1. Idle cleanup: spend × idle share × share of idle that can actually be removed.
  2. Rightsizing: the compute spend left after cleanup × the rightsizing saving.
  3. Commitments: the rightsized compute × the share you commit × the commitment discount.
  4. Storage, network and licence costs outside compute are only touched by idle cleanup.
